ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS INTO
    THE DIFFERENT BUILDING TRADES

There are 27 building trade craft apprenticeship programs. To enter into these programs they all have certain requirements:
  • Score high enough on the entrance exam to be invited to an interview
  • Successfully complete the interview process
  • 18 years of age
  • Have a valid driver’s license (MWELA will assist in obtaining one if the participant doesn’t currently have one)
  • Have reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Be physically capable to perform heavy work
  • DRUG FREE
